The new production plant speeds up new market openings Högfors Oy has opened the most modern butterfly valve factories in the world in Salo in Southern Finland. The eight million euros investment makes Högfors the most efficient butterfly valve manufacturer for district heating and cooling production in the world over night. The five axis machine tool and the nearly 60 meter Flexible manufacturing systems enable very short delivery times and unique machining accuracy, even to a thousandth of a millimetre. Högfors Oy invests in Russia Högfors Oy has established subsidiary company Högfors OOO in St Petersburg, Russia. Högfors is strengthening its operations in CIS member states and the Baltic countries, which have thus far been handled from its plant in Salo. Högfors maintains full ownership of its Russian subsidiary. In Russia Högfors has a strong foothold particularly in Moscow, the Urals and Siberia. The company´s goal is to achieve a key position in all major Russia metropolitan areas as the supplier of district heating valves as well as industrial valves within a couple years.
